Mi Band 4 sold more than a million units in 8 days



It sold roughly around 5,000 units an hour

The Mi Band 4 comes with several new features including a 0.95-inch colour AMOLED display,

NFC support, six-axis accelerometer sensor and a built in microphone for voice commands
Xiaomi on Chinese social media platform Weibo said that it sold a million units of its recently launched Mi Band 4 in just eight days. This is a new milestone for Xiaomi, as a deeper insight from the Chinese electronics brand reveals it sold roughly around 5,000 units an hour. This makes it the fastest Mi Band to reach the 1 million mark.

The device comes with several new features including a 0.95-inch colour AMOLED display, NFC support, six-axis accelerometer sensor and a built in microphone for voice commands. The device is the successor to last year's Mi Band 3 that comes with a 0.78-inch monochrome OLED display with a resolution of 80x128 pixels.

The device is priced at 169 Yuan (about ₹1,700) for the variant without NFC, while the one with it is priced at 229 Yuan (about ₹2,300).

Xiaomi hasn't announced when the Mi Band 4 would start selling in India.

What's new in Mi Band 4

Display

The 0.95-inch AMOLED display panel of the Mi Band 4 is no longer monochrome, it is a full colour display. It is can now provide information about your physical activity as well as notifications on new text messages and voice calls directly from the connected phone. The display can serve several other purposes. For instance, it can be used to find the phone, switch a music track, provide you with live weather and stock updates.

Thanks to the colour display, it now comes with up to 77 colourful watch faces. It can also display QR codes, so Xiaomi has integrated a payments mode to the smart band.
Microphone

The Mi Band 4 comes with a microphone for voice assistance. This means you now have to ways to interact with the smart band—via touch and voice. The voice controls let you send voice commands to compatible connected devices.

Six-axis accelerometer

To help monitor physical activities like cycling, exercise, running, swimming and walking, the Mi Band 4 comes with a six-axis accelerometer. It can even identify various swimming strokes and offer swolf scores, a user especially beneficial for swimmers.

NFC

The Mi Band 4 comes with NFC connectivity, so it can connect to other devices much quicker.

Battery

Xiaomi claims to deliver 20 days of battery life on a single charge with the Mi Band 4.
