Moto Z Series Launching In India On October 4th

Lenovo had introduced quite a few devices under the ‘Moto’ brand this year, ranging from the entry-level Moto E (3rd-gen) handset, all the way to their Moto Z and Moto Z Force flagships. The Moto Z and Moto Z Force were announced back in June, and have been available for purchase for quite some time now. The Moto Z Play had been introduced more recently as the company’s mid-range offering. That being said, neither of these phones is currently available in India, but it seems like that’s about to change soon, read on.

The official Moto India Twitter handle has shared a new animated .gif image along with the #WorthTheWait tagline. Now, this image basically confirms that the company will launch their Moto Z lineup on October 4th, as a huge letter ‘Z’ is in focus here. The October 4th unveiling date has been mentioned by the company as well, so it seems like those of you who live in India and are interesting in purchasing the Moto Z, will be able to do that soon. We still don’t know which devices exactly can we expect the company to launch in India, but if we had to guess, we’d say the Moto Z and Moto Z Play, because the Moto Z Force is still a Verizon exclusive, but it is possible that the company will rename the Moto Z Force and release that handset in India as well, we’ll see.

Now, the Moto Z Play may be the company’s mid-range smartphone, but it comes with quite a compelling set of specs, and its build is also top notch. The phone sports a 5.5-inch fullHD display, along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core SoC, and a 16-megapixel snapper is placed on the back of this phone. The Moto Z, on the other hand, features a 5.5-inch QHD display, 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of expandable storage. The phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor, and a 13-megapixel OIS camera is available on its back. This handset comes with a 2,600mAh battery, while the ‘Force’ variant packs in a 3,500mAh unit. All of the company’s ‘Moto Z’ devices are compatible with Moto Mod accessories, which will quite probably also launch in India on October 4th.
